Las Vegas Neil Diamond Tribute Show

ROB GARRETT’S “King of Diamonds” Neil Diamond tribute Las Vegas residency keeps going strong in the “Modern Showrooms Las Vegas” at ALEXIS PARK HOTEL.

Neil Diamond is one of the greatest and most admired singer/songwriters in pop/rock music history.

In addition to being one of the biggest selling and record-breaking touring artists ever, he’s also composed the songs of a generation — including some of the most unforgettable songs on the planet.

In the beginning of 2018, shortly before his 77th year, Neil Diamond announced his retirement from performing after being diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease.

However, Diamond’s live performance legacy continues to be celebrated for audiences throughout the world through Las Vegas entertainer Rob Garrett, known as America’s premier Neil Diamond tribute performer.

Ask Google “who is the top Neil Diamond tribute artist,” and you’ll hear the same name.

Like his musical hero, Rob Garrett was a Brooklyn, New York native.

In May 1974, his parents brought him from New York City to the Las Vegas Valley, where, two years later, he witnessed his first Neil Diamond concert when Diamond made his attendance-breaking Las Vegas debut at the Aladdin Hotel’s “Theater for the Performing Arts” in July 1976.

Garrett went on to see him 16 more times across website the country—right up until Diamond’s last American show at the LA Forum on August 12, 2017.

In 1980, Garrett created his own band, “Rock n Roll Heaven,” and enjoyed a successful 15-year run in Las Vegas and across the nation before making the move from cover band frontman to a tribute artist dedicated to one of his musical idols.

In 1995, Garrett was hand-picked by Paul Revere (of The Raiders) to portray Neil Diamond in the “Legends in Concert” show in Honolulu, Hawaii.

What was meant to be a three-month trial turned into a long-term hit show.

By August 1998, Garrett was back in Vegas and continued to perform with “Legends” for another couple of years before deciding to launch his own show.

He began a nationwide performance schedule, building a devoted fan base along the way—earning the title “King of Diamonds Neil Diamond Tribute.”

He continues to draw packed houses nationwide, often in venues fit for superstars.

Garrett has also earned several honors, including “Male Tribute Artist of the Year.”

“Since Neil Diamond retired, I’ve felt a strong sense of responsibility to keep his legacy alive for future generations. It’s something I never get tired of doing,” he said.

On May 19th officially proclaimed the date “Rob Garrett Day,” commemorating his 50 years living in Las Vegas and 44 years as a professional Vegas performer.

Now in 2025, Garrett celebrates 45 years on stage in Las Vegas, with the last three decades devoted solely to paying tribute to the now-retired Neil Diamond.

It has been said that no other tribute artist is so closely identified with the original performer as Garrett, who has performed his show at more Las Vegas venues than any other tribute artist.

Since the June closing of “A Beautiful Noise” (the Broadway jukebox musical based on Diamond’s life story), Rob Garrett’s “King of Diamonds” show has become the only continuous Neil Diamond tribute in the U.S..

Alexis Park Resort Hotel is located at 375 E. Harmon Ave., just ¼ mile west of Paradise Rd..
